Lisa went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time, lisa managed to book us in for a last minute experience and we got to handle 5 beautiful birds and have our own little private tour! We got to watch the birds being fed and we fell in love with pippin the little burrowing owl, Thankyou so much- will be back soon

When we first got there, the owner was friendly and helpful. You can pay cash or by card before entering. We were left to walk around on our own and enjoy the birds in their glory. All birds were visible and looked happy in their home. A lot of work going on to ensure the birds homes are reflected to their needs and an endless task for the owner and such a challenging yet satisfying task. Thank you for doing such a great job and allowing us the public to see these beautiful birds.

Part of a working farm, with a butchery, and coffee shop. On the day we went, it was very windy, quite cold, and overcast with the occasional drizzle. The scenery was amazing. The welcome less so. One staff member in the coffee shop was very welcoming and happy to help. Two others who were more elderly We're not inclined to be as friendly. I have to say, the cakes were to die for. I would avoid the latte like a barge pole. I've never had a latte that just had ordering milk added to it, without being steamed or frost up or something other than just poured in. Prices, for what it was, were exceptionally high. Certainly much more than I was happy to pay.

We took our 6yrs old Grandson as part of his birthday present. He was a little unsure about it before he went, but after meeting Lisa for a few minutes his confidence and enjoyment grew by the minute. He had an amazing time! He didn’t stop talking about it all the way home… a wonderful experience which we think he will treasure. I would encourage others to do the same. Lisa is a Professional in two camps… She has worked in Education & then she became a full time Falconer. Her expertise in both, shines through - she is absolutely great! And the birds are too!

We visited as a family with three children aged 4 to 9 in early April. It is kind of interesting and the kids enjoyed the craft room but really it is expensive for what it is: basically a dozen or so caged birds. I wouldn't make a special trip to go here but ok if you need to fill an hour and you're in the area.

We’ve just come away from a lovely visit, and have spent 1-1.5 hours here. We read the reviews and knew to expect a fairly small set up. We have thoroughly enjoyed a more personalised experience with two members of staff, who are clearly very passionate about the welfare of the birds, knowledgeable and keen on providing a customer experience. It sounds as though there are plans to enhance the setup and we look forward to seeing the developments.

Heartbreaking views of poor birds living in very small cages. There is a note to keep quiet, but kids are screaming all day around the poor, stressed birds. Some birds are literally chained to small posts. I advise against paying to see this cruelty, worst £6 pounds spent in my life.

This place was amazing! We were the only ones there so Paul gave us a personal tour full with lots of fun facts and personal information about each bird they cared for. You could tell he had passion for his job. He was very lovely and friendly and happy to answer all our questions and have a laugh. Made our experience one to remember. Thank you Paul. This place was only small so not a full day thing, but also has a cafe, farm shop and butchers on site which was packed. (So must be good!) We could not get a parking space but parked down the road and walked. The car pack gets filled with all the customers from the farm shop. All in all good experience. ☺💕

We visited the Bird of Prey Centre today for the first time. The entrance fee (£5.50 per adult) was perfect for the size of attraction and knowing the funds go towards housing and keeping the birds made it worthwhile. The staff and volunteers are friendly and helpful and obviously have great ideas and aspirations for the future of the centre. Will definitely keep an eye on developments and re-visit in the future :)

I booked my wife and I onto the owl handling experience for 2. Firstly, walking around the centre, you can tell they take great pride and passion in their birds. The cages and birds are very well looked after and in great condition. There's loads of information about the birds, and the staff are very willing to answer any questions. The owl handling was great, and again its very clear the staff have a lot of passion for the birds and know a great deal but are very honest if you ask a question they can't answer. We handled 4 owls in total of different sizes and flew 3 of them. It was such a great experience and I'd definitely recommend it for anyone.

We really enjoyed visiting and were more than happy to pay the price and more than suggested donation to handle Dave. We know this money goes to a good cause looking after these birds and that they are well cared for. I've never seen any as vocal as at this place which was great to hear all their different calls. We'd recommend a trip out, its not huge which isn't a bad thing for the wellbeing of the birds, but there's also a farm shop, cafe and walks around the area. Thank you.

Sunday appeared to be very popular. The second main attraction seemed to be the restaurant offering their traditional Sunday roast. There was a 20 minute wait. However it was proving to be a truly good positive review for the restaurant to have such an appeal. The owls and falcons were an amazing sight. The Raven was a character and stood out as a firm favourite with many but after 12 years residency there was told he is about to embark on a new venture elsewhere and will be hugely missed. Will definitely arrive earlier on the second visit to absorb all the current events Battlefield bird of Prey has on their timetable.

What an amazing experience this was! To go on a walk with a hawk (smile) and watch it fly up to the trees and back down to your glove is thrilling! Then to be able to interact with several kinda of owls and have them just hang out on your arm for a bit was incredible! The guides are knowledgeable and personable and the entire facility is wonderful! Very much worth the visit!

This is a great place to visit. such a variety of birds, all very well looked after. The staff were fantastic and for a donation you can even hold some of the birds. Its a small business but the owner is a fantastic woman and my wife and i wish her all the best. This is 100% recommended. Tickets for adults is £5.50 each, apparently some people think this is excessive but we thought it was well worth the price. I cannot say enough about how good this is.

We booked a personal experience with Lisa at the last minute. She readily accommodated and found time for us the next day. Her enthusiasm for the birds was infectious and she readily shared knowledge and stories about her work. We had exposure to 4 different birds and we each took turns having them fly to us. It was a great experience I can’t recommend enough. Book ahead.

We originally went to attend the battle of Shrewsbury reenactment, and noticed the bird of prey center. What a fantastic place! The staff were all amazing, very helpful, and very informative. Entrance is free, with the option to make a donation ( which we did). When looking at the birds I noticed a sign saying you could handle a bird for £2, so we did. What a fantastic experience! And for only £2 ! We loved our time there, and would definitely recommend. Thank you to the staff, you were all fab!
